|Our porch all decorated last year|
Well hello September! Fall is in the air! Well it's been pretty warm this weekend, but up where I live, the leaves are already starting to change a little.
Halloween is a big holiday in our house. We love it and go all out. This year I would like to expand my love of this holiday into my reading. :)
This brings us to my....
Now I suck at challenges. I honestly don't think I've ever finished one. It's not because I don't have time.. because I can find time I'm sure... it's pure laziness. #truestory
Oh but I'm so determined to finish this one out! :o)
So when I think of Halloween...Vampires, Zombies, Werewolves, Ghosts, and Witches come to mind! So I'm challenging myself to one book about each before Halloween. I know it's only the beginning of September, but I figured if I give myself enough time, I'll succeed. lol.
Feel free to join me if you want!! The more the merrier! I plan on posting my reviews the week of Halloween. :o)
Here are the books I have chosen..
This book has been on my shelf forever. I bought this sucker ages ago and I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to get it off my "to read" list.
I got this one a long time ago for my kindle when it was on sale. I have heard really good things about it, so I'm excited. Plus I need some Zombie action to get me ready for The Walking Dead to come back. :)
Finding a ghost book was tough. I wanted to make sure I only picked books that weren't in the middle of series, otherwise Karina Halle's EIT series would have been the top choice. I went to goodreads Listopia and this one came up as a top ghost book. So it probably isn't all that scary but I heard it's amazing so I'm picking it. :oP
This is actually a newer purchase. I was undecided today if this was the one I wanted to read or not. But when we stopped at the Amish stand to pick up some fresh peaches and melons, I knew I had to read it for this challenge. Amish People fascinate me. They really do. Throw some vampires into the mix, it has to be good right? lol
About a year and a half ago, I went to a book signing and this author was there. I have this book in hardcover and personally signed to me. I don't know what's taken me so long to get around to it.
So there you have it!! Now If I can only make good on it. I'm going to try like hell!
If any of you want to join me, let me know what books you choose and make your own post! I'm so excited to start reading these.
