So this year started out fun! Whats with the picture above you ask? you see that little green turd looking thing? Well, I had to have that removed last week.
I wanted to post about it because it's apparently a pretty common thing. I'm thankful that my friend had an issue with hers a short while back, because if she hadn't, I might not have been so quick to recognize the signs.
You see, I have always has some stomach issues. Nothing crazy, but the gas pain and such. Won't give TMI, but I have come to realize that some if not most of all that was caused by my gallbladder.
Here's what happened. Normal night. I was sitting down at the PC after I put Aubs to bed. All ready to start diving into my Miss Me Not trailer when my stomach started to hurt really bad. I felt fine all day long. I guess from what I have read, these attacks often happen in the evening for some reason.
Well, this pain was the worst pain of my life. No lie. No matter what position I put myself in, it killed me. The center of the pain was my upper stomach on the right side, but truth be told my whole stomach was killing me.
Three a.m. rolled around and still the same pain. Actually, scratch that, it was more intense by then, but it wasn't showing any sign of going away. I was scared to death. I finally got the nerve to go in and wake my husband up. I hated to, because I'm not the kinda girl who goes to the ER for a tummy ache, ya know? We decided to wait it out a couple more hours that way we could take our daughter in to her preschool. I wanted to keep everything as normal as possible for her, but she knew I was in pain and it scared her too.
We went into the ER around 7:30 am, and morphine quickly became my friend. Guys, Gallbladder pain feels worse then labor. A hundred times worse. After tons of tests, it turned out I was right. My gallbladder was blocked up and infected. Tests showed it was already effecting how my liver was working. This is not something to mess around with. I'm so glad I went in when I did.
The surgeon wanted it out asap, so that was the best way to do it. No time to worry myself about surgery. An hour after he told me, they were prepping me for the operating room. My husband was there for me 100 percent, and I know I mention it so much on my blog, but he's amazing. I adore books about love, books that the male love interest will do anything and everything for the woman they love. Men like that are real. I have one and I'm forever grateful. <3
So surgery went well, I'm recovering. Halfway into January and it's already been quite a year. I'm curious to see what else 2013 has in store for me, but then again I'm afraid to find out. lol.

i bet your friend isn't thankful to be the reference point of your pain lol
