GOODREADS DESCRIPTION
Sadie White's summer job isn't going to be on the beach life-guarding or working at rental booths like most kids her age. With her single mother's increasing pregnancy and refusal to work, Sadie has to take over her mother's job as a domestic servant for one of the wealthy summer families on a nearby island.
When the family arrives at their summer getaway, Sadie is surprised to learn that the owner of the house is Jax Stone, one of the hottest teen rockers in the world. If Sadie hadn't spent her life raising her mother and taking care of the house she might have been normal enough to be excited about working for a rock star.
Even though Sadie isn't impressed by Jax's fame, he is drawn to her. Everything about Sadie fascinates Jax but he fights his attraction. Relationship's never work in his world and as badly as he wants Sadie, he believes she deserves more. By the end of the summer, Jax discovers he can't breathe without Sadie
Oh Breathe. I loved this book guys. I mean, how could I not. What girl doesn’t dream about falling in love with a rock star? I sure did… and still do, but don’t tell my husband. Lol.

Jax Stone, oh my did I love him. He is everything you want in a teen heart throb. He’s got a little angst, but what musician doesn’t. But guess what! He’s a nice guy. I’m beginning to see this trend in Abbi Glines books. Nice guys, and I love it. As fun as it is to read about the stand-offish bad boy, it gets old. Give me a nice guy any day.
The supporting character’s, are also great. Glines does a wonderful job with Characterization. Just about every character in this story took a small piece of my heart. It’s okay though, I’m not bitter. I know I’ll never get those little pieces back. As long as Abbi keeps writing these books, I’ll consider us even.
Breathe left me with a smile on my face. I loved it, and now I know why it’s one of Andrea’s favorites. I finished Because of Low as well, I’ll be writing that review next. I have to say, Abbi Glines is now an Author who will be on my “Always Buy Immediately” List. I just can’t get enough of her stuff.

Yay for nice guys! My hubby was an aspiring rockstar when I met him, so I think I'll really appreciate Jax's character when I get around to reading this book. You made me buy it, btw. :) I even blamed you in my IMM. :P I love adding authors to the auto-buy list...but my wallet doesn't like it so much. :(
ReplyDeleteYay!! I'm so freaking happy you loved this book. I will always have a special place for Breathe in my heart. Abbi's books make me feel like none other. She has super-special-secret-ingredient. Like Big Mac sauce.
ReplyDeleteYay for using the "k" word. You're classy like that.
I really need to read this one! I've heard nothing but good things. I think I'd read it just for the sake of a nice guy. :D I mean, the hot, snarky bad boy can be attractive in books, but in real life? No one wants that. Nice guys are the best.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you have joined the Abbi Glines fan club! YAY!!!!! They just get better and better too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you loved this book. I've become a HUGE Abbi fan myself! I totally agree with you on Sadie's mom. I wanted to slap her ass soooooo many times. Jax & Sadie were adroable and you already know my love for Marcus. I fell for him in Breathe and he was so awesome in Because of Low. I like the nice guys too ;-)
