TEASER TRAILER TUESDAY ~ Fever by Lauren Destefano

GOODREADS DESCRIPTION

Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion. But danger is never far behind.

Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago―surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.

The Two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine's twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous―and in a world where young woman only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can't seem to elude Rhine's father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion… by any means necessary.

In this sequel to Lauren DeStefano's harrowing
Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price―now that she has more to lose than ever.

I read Wither few months back.. I loved that book so much. I dont know how I'm going to be able to wait until Febuary for Fever. This was a difficult trailer to make.. The covers of these books are beyond gorgeous.. so I could really do it no justice. I did however, make it as close as my sims would allow. lol. The text was tricky, that was a little bit of good ole microsoft paint and photo shop there! I put it on a blue screen so I could over lap it across the cover. Anyways, here it is.. hope you all like it. :)

Review + Sims Trailer... Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon

  Goodreads Description

Their love was meant to be.
When Megan Rosenberg moves to Ireland, everything in her life seems to fall into place. After growing up in America, she's surprised to find herself feeling at home in her new school. She connects with a group of friends, and she is instantly drawn to darkly handsome Adam DeRĂs.
But Megan is about to discover that her feelings for Adam are tied to a fate that was sealed long ago—and that the passion and power that brought them together could be their ultimate destruction.

I have been anxious to read this book for a while now. Sometimes when you read a synopsis of a book, and you just know that your going to love it.. That's how it was for me with Carrier of the Mark. I have always been fascinated with elements. I think this is in part, due to my love of video games. Especially the RPG ones, that follow a story. The mages were always my favorite characters to play. I mean, who doesn't want to wield lightning bolts, or set your opponent on fire. So liking this book was a given for me.

However, I always go into a book with moderate expectations, for fear of building up hype and being disappointed. There was no need with this book though. It had everything I was looking for. Romance, suspense, magic and so much more. My only complaint is that it's over, and now I have to wait a long time for book two. It will be worth it.

The characters were very likable. I loved Megan. She was adorable. Adam was pretty great to. They had awesome chemistry together. There were a couple hot smoldering scenes I will be reading again. lol. I think I was most infatuated with Rian though. I would have like to bring him home with me. There was just something about him. So sexy.

One of my favorite things about the Carrier of the Mark is the descriptions. I have always wanted to go to Ireland. Reading this, I felt like I was there. That's not the only descriptions Leigh wrote well. The use of magic/elements was told wonderfully. I find with some of the books I have read, when a scene like these are written out, they can come off as a bit awkward depending on the Author. Not the case here. Her writing was so vivid, I could see every second right from my couch. One of my favorite scenes was the Moth scene. I won't get into detail, because I'm not all about spoilers. I have seen a few other reviewers talk about this scene as well. It was so beautiful. I loved every single element scene. I want my own element to control!

I don't want to talk everyone's ear off, so I will end this soon. If you like magic and romance, and just a story that makes you feel great when your reading it.. this is the book for you! I highly recommend it. I cannot wait until it comes out, so I can revisit some of my favorite parts.

Me, My Shelf and I Book ToursI had made a teaser trailer for this a while back, because I have been dying to get my hands on it. Huge thanks to Amber over at Me, My shelf and I for letting me be a part of this arc tour. Otherwise I would have had to wait until my finished copy came in the mail to know how absolutely amazing it is.

Normally I don't make full Sim trailers unless I have read the book, but I happened to stumble across a trailer Leigh made herself for the book Here!, and with her permission I simmed it. I hope you all enjoy it, and it makes you want to run out and buy the book on October 4th!

Creative Entry for Beth Revis Contest

Hey everyone! In case anyone doesn't know about it yet, Beth Revis is holding a contest for the month of August over on her blog for an arc of A Million Suns, and other cool stuff.. ----> Here!!!

It's a creative contest, so while playing outside with my daughter, we decided to make something. She is very fascinated with the trailers I make. She has recently been obsessed with matching stuff. Her socks matching her clothes, her hair things matching her shirt.. So when she sees me reading a book, she insists on seeing the match... It took me a little while to realize she was referring to the trailer. Her favorite one is the Forever by Maggie Stiefvater. Shhhhhh, don't tell Beth. lol. She actually started jumping around yelling when I took it out of the box.. " Momma, Momma, my favorite trees! " That's what she calls it. weirdo.

But yeah, anyway, she had a lot of fun coloring this matching picture on our patio last night. That is.. until she realized I was taking her picture.. then she started to run away.. Action Shot!

I wonder if Elder would say about her hot pink hair?

Review... The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

Goodreads Summary

My name is Meghan Chase.

I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.

This time, there will be no turning back.
First off, I love this series. I always put the next book off, because I have other things to read. Every single time, I regret it. I swear as soon as The Iron Knight comes out, it's not even going on my shelf. I'll be reading it ASAP!

I don't like spoiler reviews.. so I wont go into too much detail here. From the very first book, Megan has grown so much. In The Iron Queen, she grows even more. Her relationship with Ash is so intense.. I can feel the waves of chemistry coming off the page. Puck, well he's just awesome. I liked him a lot more through this book.

What I love the most about these Iron Fey books, is the world building. Everything is so magical. Of all the fey related books I have read, I think Julie describes Faery the best. I feel like I'm there with them. Dont even get me started on the Iron Relm.. wow... I can see every bit of it while reading. Authors that can pull you into a different world, get major props!

Overall, this book, hell this whole series is a must read. The whole idea behind the Iron Fey, it's so original. It's been an absolute pleasure to read... and I'm counting the days till the final Installment.

Sorry there is no trailer for this one.. There will be though! Not right away, but enventually. If you haven't seen the Trailer for The Iron King yet and would like to... head over to this Post
