Giving Thanks: Which books are you most thankful for receiving from other bloggers, friends, family members, or publishers?
There are so many people I'm thankful for with books. First the VC Andrews books. I have my mom and Grandmother to thank for those. What ones my mom didn't own, my gram did, so I devoured them.. They are the books that originally got me started reading when I was young.
My friend Suzanne. I met her through work. She is a Teller at the bank my company does our deposits at. One day many years ago, we got to talking books.. She has pushed so many books onto me..Harry Potter & the Hunger Games.. I wasn't going to read that.. but she forced me. lol. So glad she did. I pushed the Twilight books onto her, and she loved them. She also lets me borrow her library books, which is awesome b/c I don't have time to get to the library ever. She is such a great book friend, and I'm forever thankful to have her in my life.
I want to thank all of you bloggers out there! My husband probably wants to shoot you all, but I thank you! lol. Since I started blogging my to read list has grown like crazy. A couple bloggers I have to thank.. Andrea @ The Bookish Babes . I saw her review of Blood Bound, and said how much I wanted to read it. She says, send me your address and I'll mail it to you.. That to me is amazing. She didn't know me.. we have since talked a lot more, but to trust me, a new blogger, with an autographed book! Crazy.. but I love her, and I love the book. I am now going to be reading a whole lot more Rachel Vincent.
Another Blogger, Tara from fiction folio . Now I had really never spoke to her.. I saw her tweet one day about doing a little arc tour for Shatter Me.. I had been dying to get my hands on that book so I cold make a trailer. She didn't hesitate to let me do the tour. I have come across a few blogs that require you be a blogger for a certain amount of time before being on the tour. And my follower count grows slowly, but it's not large by any means. So I was very grateful that Tara over looked all that and sent me the arc. Which was amazing by the way.
I don't get books from Publishers yet.. but I thank them for putting the books out there! Heck I thank everyone. Ginger for the great Contemporary Recommendations yesterday! My friend Jackie for making me buy Anna Dressed In Blood. Keep shoving books in my face everyone! I will love you all forever.
Ahhhh, bloggers spell check isn't working.. so sorry for any mistakes. No time to copy paste and check elsewhere.. or I'll be late for work! :)

Hey there!! I love the Sims...when I saw your blog name was Simsational I was omg does she mean like the game?! Hahah, anyway, I'm a new follower and glad to have run into your blog :)

Love it when other bloggers/friends turn you onto books/authors you haven't given a chance before. Great post...really feeling the love! :D
ReplyDeleteWonderful community, as your post so aptly states. I am thankful for all the support and information they provide (as well as the books!)
ReplyDeleteLOL! My husband wants to shoot all my blogging buddies too! Since I've started blogging I've demanded two new book shelves, bought way too many books, and have developed a habit of late night typing while in bed.
ReplyDeleteI really loved your post. I could feel the love. New follower!

Awww...I lurve ya, girlie! You know any book of mine is up for you to borrow any time.
ReplyDeleteI love the story about your friend, the bank teller. That's pretty awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I have a bookish best friend too! It's the best thing in the world to have. And the longer you blog the more books you'll end up with in your stash...you'll reach a point of having too many to read in too little time! Check out NetGalley for arc's if you haven't already...wonderful, wonderful thing ;)
